Once you've got the basics down, you'll be able to apply it to endless future projects, including placemats, a machine cover, a tote bag, or a pouch.

Barbara's sample (16.5" x 11") is a mat designed to sit under her sewing machine and features a secret garden of specialty Liberty of London prints, but the technique works beautifully with any fabric style or scraps you've been saving for just the right project.
