In this two-part technique class, Barbara will teach you two classic and versatile blocks, the Nine Patch and the Flying Geese. The Nine Patch is a timeless foundation block that transforms entirely based on the colors and fabrics you choose. Try a scrappy version like Barbara's sample, or create a striking Single Irish Chain effect using just two colors. The Flying Geese block will serve as the eye-catching border, framing your design beautifully. Together, these two blocks work equally well in traditional and modern quilting, making this a technique you'll come back to again and again.

Once you’ve got the basics down, you’ll be able to apply these blocks to a wide range of future projects of your own. Barbara’s sample measures 61.5" x 73".
